"Best" is subjective, and we would argue that it's based on your priorities:
If you're looking for an economical solution for your home or rental property, our 6ft Dog Ear fence is a great option.
If you want the "latest and greatest" fence in our market, the 7ft Horizontal Board on Board is quickly gaining popularity!
We sure don't. Wooden posts are prone to rot, warping, and twisting. They have a significantly shorter lifespan than metal posts and therefore, we will not use them.
Pickets: Our two species are Western Red Cedar and Japanese Cedar. Japanese Cedar skyrocketed in popularity around Covid due to its availability and more affordable price. Japanese is a great budget option, as it's almost all slow-growth cedar from Japan, planted right after WWII. Western Red remains the premium, domestically grown option. It tends to have fewer knots as well, resulting in a slightly upgraded appearance.
Rails (2x4): Standard whitewood (Pine, Douglas Fir, Spruce, etc.) is our go-to. It's affordable and holds up well. If you want an upgrade, Western Red Cedar is available for an additional price.
Great question! This is one of the things that sets great fence builders apart from the, well, not great ones. Our minimum post depth, whenever possible, is 32". This ensures there is plenty of leverage to counteract those strong West Texas winds we all love so much. Setting posts too shallow means your fence could begin to lean over time.
We sure can! The best solution for this is a metal gate frame. Constructed from 2.5" galvanized steel, it attaches directly to the steel post, which means it will never sag, warp, or twist. Your gate will function perfectly for years, even when the wood begins to wear down.
We cut our teeth in the game by staining fences! But unfortunately, we don't stain anymore. However, we have some incredible staining partners that we would refer you to. You can find them on our Partner page
We do not. To work with us, we have a 50% down requirement and full payment is due at completion. But don't worry, we haven't run off with anyone's money!
We repair them! We have a section that highlights some of our many repairs done in the past. Because of our scale and schedule, we do have a $750 minimum.
