11-Gauge or 9-Gauge Fabric
Homes get 11-gauge residential chain link fabric, and commercial jobs can step up to heavier 9-gauge. Either way, the 2 in. mesh is stretched tight between posts and tied to the top rail and every line post.
Posts Set in Concrete
Every post is set in concrete, with heavier terminal posts at each corner, end, and gate. Long straight runs get an extra terminal post to hold the fabric's tension.
Top Rail and Bottom Tension Wire
A top rail keeps the fence rigid, and a bottom tension wire on every fence keeps the fabric from bowing out, which helps keep pets from pushing their way underneath.

Is chain link cheaper than a wood fence?
In most cases, yes. Chain link is one of the most affordable fence types we install. It doesn't give you privacy, though. If you need to block the view, look at our cedar or R-Panel steel fencing instead.
What's the difference between galvanized and black vinyl-coated chain link?
Galvanized chain link has a silver zinc coating and is the most economical option. Black vinyl-coated chain link adds a black coating over the fabric, posts, and rail, so it blends into landscaping and looks more finished.
How tall should a chain link dog run be?
A 5 ft chain link fence holds in most dogs. If you want extra height, we also build 6 ft dog runs. We'll help you pick the right height during your free estimate.
Why do you add a bottom tension wire?
A tension wire runs along the bottom of the fabric and keeps it pulled tight. Without it, the bottom of a chain link fence can bow out over time and leave gaps for pets to push through. We include it on every chain link fence we build.

A cantilever gate is a sliding gate that's supported by rollers on the fence line, so it doesn't need a track on the ground. It rolls open sideways and works well on wide driveways, gravel, and dirt, where a ground track would get clogged.
