A fence curb, also called a footer, mow curb, or mow strip, is a concrete curb poured along the fence line with the posts set right in it. We pour our own, so there's no waiting on a second contractor.

The pickets sit on top of the curb instead of down in the grass and dirt, which helps prevent rot along the bottom of the fence.
